How To Get Your Body To Burn Fat

Dr. Joseph Mercola is one of my “go to guys” when it comes to wellness and weight loss.

When I follow his recommendations, I feel great and am steadily getting leaner and stronger… Intermittent Fasting is just one tool that gets great results fast.

My interpretation of Dr. Mercola’s recommendations?

  1. Limit carbohydrates. Obvious and hidden sugars. Grains. And yes even Fruit.
  2. Modest amounts of healthy, clean Protein. A reasonable amount of grass fed, high quality meats. Excessive meat causes problems.
  3. Healthy fats. Avocados. Coconut oil.
  4. Lots of green vegetables.
  5. Intermittent Fasting
  6. Intelligent exercise.
  7. Keeping your mind in the right place.

Stop Counting Calories!

11151719_sSeriously. When has torturing yourself by counting calories ever had a long term sustainable hope of actually transforming your body?

There is no “one thing” that will suddenly, magically transform you into being fit and healthy.

There are, however, several simple and intelligent steps that will create a new “you.” And I cover all of them in my new course, “It’s Not Just About The Food!”

Here’s a quick review of two important ones that you can work on immediately…

Skip Breakfast

Yes I know that is sacrilege.

We’ve been taught from an early age that “Breakfast is the most important meal.” And it actually STILL is the most important meal. Just not until noon.

Ready for another tip?

Here is the simplest thing that you can do immediately to start turning on the fat burning furnace of your body…

Stop eating at 6 or 7 pm at night

Then, gradually move your breakfast time back by an hour each day until you are fasting for up to 16 hours.

That gives your body time to use up your Glycogen stores and begin turning to your fat stores for energy.

That’s it.

Start with one day a week. Then two… and so on until you find what works best for you. The result is that you will effortlessly reduce calories without deprivation. Without weighing your food or having to keep track of “points”.
