When Energy Moves Prepare to Jump Your “Grooves”

HOLY… Guacamole.

Some Deep “stuff” is going on. Have you noticed it?

Or is it only me?

I’ve lately been doing a lot of “energy work” and it is really interesting to see how things are shifting incredibly rapidly for me.

Some people point to astrological events to explain seemingly random spiritual and emotional turn-arounds and transformational events in their lives that result in MASSIVE shifts and SIGNIFICANT CHANGE.

I just think the process of opening our minds to the idea that we are actually fields of energy constantly swirling and shifting, opening and constricting, filtering, learning, exploring, experiencing can cause us to “level up” in a way that defies logical explanations.

In my song Paying Attention which I shared with you last week (and which Pete Furlong and I recently NAILED in the studio and I can’t freaking wait to share it with you) refers to the conversion experience of the apostle Paul who started out as a guy named “Saul” who was going around doing his absolute best to destroy the early Christian church.

Then one day he got his “butt kicked by the Spirit” and ended up literally struck down blind on the road to Tarsus… When he came to his senses, the world was different.

But the only thing that had actually changed was him.

So whether you are of any particular religion or  spiritual tradition or totally “not into that stuff”, doesn’t seem to matter.  When energy begins to move in the form of new ideas, new ways of moving your body, new patterns of heathy eating or behavior, “stuff” begins to happen. “Stuff” begins to come up and demand our attention…

Just a little “heads up” for you my beloved transformation nation…

“STUFF”  is MOVING! (“Stuff” of course is a polite technical term for Sh*t)

Shifts Happen.

While we all SAY we want to change our lives for the better, in our daily reality, Transformation is often messy and inconvenient and typically challenges the hell out of our comfort zones (not to mention little things like how we make a living and how we deal with the people in our lives who cling desperately to wanting “stuff” to stay the same…)

So the question I have for you today is this:
Are you ready? Because ready or not, if you actually implement ANY of the daily mind mastery tips that I have been sharing with you, energy is going to MOVE.

When energy moves, prepare to jump your groove.

Your assignment for Today (Should you choose to accept it):

is to take a moment and breathe, while imagining the breathe coming in as sparkling liquid light. Breathe that liquid light up from the bottoms of your feet, up the backs of your legs, up your spine and over the top of your head… pause for a count of 5 while swirling the energy of the breathe in front of your forehead… then release down the front of your body imagining the liquid light washing you clean of anything that may have been blocking the “flow”.

Engage your imagination to vividly increase the open flow of energy through your “field”.

That’s it. Do this for a few minutes throughout the day.

You might want to start keeping track in a journal or on your phone of the things that noticeably start to shift, or not. That’s totally to you.

We aren’t necessarily attempting to change anything specific. Just focus on allowing energy to flow freely though your “system”.  Then notice and follow the “nudges”.  Let me know how you do with this ok? You can use the contact form HERE.

The question ultimately is How Deep Do You Really Want To Go?

Here’s an Anxiety Breathing Exercise for You

3576767_sDo you know what the first thing we forget to do in a moment of fear or panic? It’s breathe. That’s right.

The challenge for each one of us is that when fight or flight mode is triggered and we unconsciously pick “flight” the most natural thing in the world to do is hold your breath.

It’s just something that we’re all hardwired to do.

Perhaps this instinctual reaction kept us quiet so that predators couldn’t hear the sound of our breathing and find us. Or perhaps holding our breath enabled us to hear better because we weren’t panting so loudly.

Whatever the case this reaction does, in fact, make evolutionary sense.

But this doesn’t help you much when fear, anxiety or panic strikes…

An anxiety breathing technique

Now, the first thing that we need to remind ourselves when a panic or anxiety attack gets triggered is to breathe. Now, this is no secret. Every therapist and book on anxiety tells you to breathe.

However, this particular and specific way to breathe, called circular breathing, comes from ancient China and is especially suited to calming you and giving you access to your resources.

Here’s the technique…

Step 1

Imagine your breath coming in to the tips of your toes and then flowing up the back of your legs, up your spine, and over the top of your head.

Step 2

With your lungs full pause for a count of three “Mississippi’s” when your breath reaches a spot in front of your four head.

Step 3

Release the breath down the front of your body.

Step 4

Pause for a moment (3 seconds) with empty lungs before breathing the next breath in through the tips of your toes and up the backs of your legs and spine. You’re making a circle with your breath.

Step 5

Repeat 10 times, or as long as you can stay focused on your breath. As you breathe in imagine that you are bringing in relaxation, and as you breathe out imagine letting go or breathing out any stress, tension or fear that you may be feeling.
