Make the conscious decision to choose the good emotions. Write out the following why questions by hand enough times so that you can then move through your day repeatedly asking them…
- Why do I think the kinds of thoughts that lead to the kinds of emotions I want to feel?
- Why do I focus my mind on the thoughts that create the kinds of emotions I want to feel?
- Why do I focus on the emotions I want to feel?
One of the things that differentiates Neuro Linguistic Processing from other fields of psychology is that other fields ask, “Why do you have a certain problem”. In NLP we ask, “How do you DO the problem?“, as well as, ” How do you know it’s time to DO the problem?”
Once you understand HOW you do something you can then “install” a different neurological process that gets you a better result.
It’s actually a hell of a lot of fun once you get into it.
