I got an email today from one of my CRUSH anxiety clients.
He asked about Cannabis or medical marijuana for anxiety.
Over the years I’ve heard two basically different stories.
For some anxiety sufferers, medical marijuana has been a god send. It has helped them tremendously with their anxiety. When they smoke weed they shift out of the hyper-vigilent, perfectionist, control freak that they are normally… (hmmm why does “Hyper-Vigilant, Perfectionist, Control Freak: sound a lot like me… does it sound like you? Sheesh I didn’t realize how uptight I was LOL)
When they get high they relax. Chill out… “It all GOOOD man”… And that’s wonderful. That is, if Medical Marijuana is legal where you are.
However the OTHER group reports that Pot ADDS to their anxiety… somehow it amplifies their dominant state of mind to the point where they literally freak out and basically swear off the stuff.
Ultimately, as the popular song goes, “No pill gonna cure this ill”… No drug or herb or medication is going to stop anxiety because anxiety is a way of thinking. Anxiety is focusing your mind on what you do not want. For those of us who are really good at that, it is often blasting on our mental movie screens like an IMAX movie.
It is a habitual process that you are creating in your neurology.
Over the years that I’ve been dealing with my own anxiety (54 to be exact) and helping other people to CRUSH theirs, (12 to be exact), I have found that ultimately the majority of anxiety sufferers just want a magic pill. “Here take this”… But the “magic” pill ALWAYS disappoints.
It is the rare person like you who is willing to consider that just maybe, this is an inside job. If you are creating anxiety with your own thoughts and focus, well, that is actually great news because you can change your thoughts. You can change your focus.
In addition, the vast majority of people are NOT motivated enough to actually do anything different in their lives. They would rather complain.
You, my friend are different. You are willing to put your money where your mouth is. You are willing to explore new ideas and experiment with new ways of thinking and perceiving.
You are the person I created this course for.
