Here is a guy who totally exemplifies the concept of “Cowabungah!”
Ricardo Semler.
That rare corporate executive who is radically innovative, self aware, exuberantly asking, “why do we do it THIS way? What if we tried it some other way?” And then DOING it!
He’s completed his old “bucket list”. Big deal. Now he wants something bigger, more fun, more transformative. Brilliant. His company has less than 1% turn over in its 3,000 employees. And he has started schools as well.
His “terminal” days are a key. He understands that death is always at our shoulder. What if we chose to live today as if it were our last? Why can’t work be enjoyable and meaningful no matter what the product?
Unlike most of the mediocre masses, this guy thinks deeply about things most of us take for granted.
