Trouble Focusing?

October 15, 2015 by Mark Shepard

40808287_mHaving Trouble Focusing? Feeling Scattered? Have Many Interests and Talents?

Feel like a kid in the candy store of life? So many things you COULD do? So many possibilities? So many choices?

Do you have many talents and interests? So many that it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming and frustrating?

You might want to try “Chunking Up!” and Surfing it…

I got a great email today from Transformation Nation member Ari. This guy is doing some really good, profound, deep work and I LOVE hearing from him as well as all of you budding Jedi Mind Masters out there.

He was responding to yesterday’s Post, Dealing With Change. His question and reflection on change and the challenge of being a “creative” with multiple interests and passions is sheer “GOLD”. I have a feeling a lot of you can relate to it.

Being a being with multiple interests myself, this used to drive me crazy! I could focus intensely for a while on something but invariably the level of interest and attention would eventually kind of run out…

And something new would grab my attention. Then I’d go deep with that.

  • My first big thing was nature,
  • Which led me to a fascination (as a 4th grader) with everything Native American.
  • Then it was the Revolutionary War,
  • Then it was, learning to play the guitar well enough to write the songs I wanted to write,
  • And of course writing songs
  • Then it was my fascination with world religions
  • Then it was healing my body and my heart/soul,
  • Then it was storytelling and kid performing,
  • Then it was African drumming
  • Then learning the Irish Tin Whistle
  • Then it was hypnosis and NLP,
  • Then it was learning how to paint in a way that made me happy,
  • Then it was developing my anxiety relief programs, and pretty much helping people with all kinds of challenges with NLP and hypnosis, Weight Loss, Habit Control, Shyness,

Of course a lot of this has been going on at the same time in various ways. And when I set one thing down for a while and turned my attention and focus elsewhere, I noticed I would often return refreshed and even more creative. And all these areas of interest were often combining and re-combining in ways that when I kind of relaxed into it and “surfed” it, constantly surprise and delight me.

I also noticed that when I tried to “force” a focus because it would “make more money”. It pretty much always bit me in the butt.

So I’m a big advocate of following the natural “flow” of your interests and passions. And checking in frequently for “congruence”.

Chances are if you are here at HonestHypnosis.com you are probably a bit like my friend Ari and myself… I’d like to invite you to join the conversation…

Here’s his letter:

Mark,

I wanted to explore a little more with you regarding the way I handle change. You and I had talked once about my frustration with having so many different interests (creative, exercise, etc.) that I did not feel that I could be good at any one of them.

In other words, I felt unfocused.

You said that the process of exploring all of them was, in and of itself, a valid reason to be alive, a valid purpose for a life.

I think at the core of my resistance to what you said (there is a part of me that still wants a specialized focus) is trouble coping with change on my part.

If I interpret all of my various interests (guitar, singing, running, photography, yoga, church, farming, etc.) in a positive light, I simply give myself options of what I can do when I happen to have some free time on my hands.

But as it is, I interpret it negatively, as though I have a poor ability to focus, a low work ethic, etc., and that is why I can’t go very far in any one thing. I feel out of control somehow.

Ari

Here is my reply (which is to Ari and all of you as well as my own unconcious mind):

Hey Ari, (Oh man of many talents and interests…)

My profoundest advice is this: Chunk Up and Learn to SURF it.

In fact watch some surfers on youtube or wherever.

Always adjusting and often falling… each wave different from the last…

Each interest is a wave. Ride the one you’re on until it dissipates or you feel drawn to the next one…

Ultimately the waves flow out in circles and then bounce or reverberate back… so you can ride them again and again… in different directions…

It’s all one energy.

Creative.

Divine.

The ancient Toltecs believed that when we die we return our bubble of awareness to the “Source of all things”, “God”, “All that Is”, whatever you want to call it, ENHANCED by our experiences and the memories of a lifetime.

This is our purpose for having the life force given to us… to expand God… To be God’s eyes, ears, sense receptors “on the ground” “in the field” so to speak… and to learn, grow, seek to understand, expand, deepen, discover…

So stop judging yourself for multiple interests. Your creativitiy and interest in many things is what The Universe/God wants you to be doing… Start enjoying the adventure knowing you will someday present it as a gift to your Creator…

If finding a focus is a MUST, then try this:
Chunk up enough so that all of the things you love to do
are sweetly nestled under a single cohesive umbrella…

Chunking up is going from specific to general. For example:
Toyota Corolla ==> Passenger Car ==>Motor Vehicle ==>TRANSPORTATION.

For me, when I chunked up on what my music and my NLP / Hypnosis / Painting / Storytelling / Entrepreneurism all had in common…. I got  creativity, making a positive difference in the world and helping other people to learn, heal, expand, develop, grow…. and when I chunked up on THAT, I got “Transformation”

(of course hypnosis is quite literally “Trance Formation”. And Music causes us to transform our state as well and can cause a deep trance…)

So Today’s Mind Mastery Transformation Tip for ALL of you FABULOUS, creative, talented, passionate, curious, action taking “TRANSFORMING bubbles of awareness” out there who have many interests is “Chunk up!” and start surfing all of  your many interests without having to “force” any one of them be the “One thing”. Go into what they all have in common. What is it about these interests that nourish an literally Interests you? Are they areas where you can command some mastery? Are they areas of interest because you happen to be good at them? Or are you good at them because you are interested in them?

Your “One Thing” will be something that INCLUDES all the best of what you are and do and are interested and passionate about.

So tawk to me Ari and all you other folks out there. I find your thoughts Fascinating… I love being a part of your TRANSFORMATION!

Be gentle with yourselves and have fun while you play with this idea today…

Chunk UP and Surf the Waves of Interest…

Mark

p.s. Oh BTW… the Surf’s UP ALL the time! :o)

Just Because You’re Good At Something

June 3, 2015 by Mark Shepard

16767613_sJust because you are good at something, doesn’t mean you have to pursue it as a career.

We all have these notions that end up causing us pain. Like that the thing we love doing the best and that we are the best at should somehow be made into a career even if there is no money to be made in that market or activity.

As a singer songwriter I sometimes wish I’d been born 10 years earlier. When people still gave a shit about singer/songwriters and actually paid to listen to their music.

It’s like the guy who just loves playing the blacksmith at military reenactments. He would never attempt in this day and age to make a living as an old fashioned blacksmith making nails and shit from scratch because there is no market.

But if he loves it? Bang away on your iron rods man!

Just don’t quit that day job!

There is a big difference between a passionate bird watcher who will travel the world or forgo sleep and food to add to his life list and a biologist doing specific field studies of particular bird species.

One does it for sheer love. The other does it for pay. He may love his work, but it’s an exchange of value. He does this work and gets paid so that he can pay HIS bills, support his family, buy food.

I finally got that I do music totally and completely because I fucking love it.

It will probably never make me much money. If it does that’s great. But I would do what I do regardless. I don’t do it for the money.

There is really no way to put a monetary figure on it.

It’s freaking priceless. How do you value a song? If it moves you deeply, shouldn’t it be worth more than a fucking dollar? In it’s digital form it has almost no value. Poof. Everybody just thinks they should have it free.

So that kills income potential for just writing songs. No. For there to be money, a musician has to perform… but to get performances… where people actually turn off their TV’s and venture out into the night, find parking, pay money to sit and listen… well there is the vicious circle of miserable. Yecccch.

And one of the reasons I have resisted going full tilt boogie into it as a career, (besides the horrifying idea of living out of a suitcase and never sleeping in my own bed,) is I didn’t want it to become a “Job”… yes, double and triple meanings INTENDED. As in “Job the dude in the bible” who just suffered horrifically and THE J.O.B that makes miserable cubicle slaves out of so many good men.

So it’s NOT my fucking Job.

Good.

For almost 40 damn years I have written songs because I wanted, no, I HAD to. They just come in and the pleasure I experience writing them is sweet… It’s like an hours or days long orgasm. It’s pure creativity. Pure pleasure.

Performing on the other hand is work. Good work. But I do NOT perform for free. No fucking way. And I’m expensive. I’ll do it but it’s a whole different thing from writing the songs.

So fuck performing for Now. (Unless of course if I can find a way to do it locally in the most convenient way possible with other musicians who I don’t have to pay… Oh! I’m already doing that at Unity)

NOW.

I’m going to focus on helping as many guys achieve their maximum, ultimate, highest PEAK PERFORMANCE as I can humanly manage.

Because as great a songwriter as I am (and I AM a great songwriter :o), I am just as good as a peak performance coach.

Particularly in my courses.

Because my courses are like my songs. But they are larger and more useful. My courses help you solve problems. My courses help you shave years off of your learning curve. My courses help you to get out of pain and move towards pleasure, power, passive income and pussy.

And every dude I help is just naturally going to affect the lives of hundreds of other people. I want to be part of a ripple effect literally washing out into the world in a growing wave of awareness as authentic and awakened men go for what they want, with whom they want, when they want, where they want.

Let’s DO this.

Refining Your Dream

May 21, 2015 by Mark Shepard

35198146_sTo continue the thread of thought from yesterday, this morning I’m thinking about that 16 year old ‘s dream.

Check out the previous post: “Pure Dream”

When I was 16 I wanted to be a professional singer/songwriter.

That’s ALL I wanted.

Did you write down YOUR dream from age 16? As I share my thoughts about this keep in mind I am only sharing MY dream because I don’t know YOU. Use my example and plug in your own experiences and vision ok?

I wanted to travel around playing at all the cool small coffeehouses and folk music clubs that were around at the time…

I wanted to go to Greenwich Village in NY City and get “discovered” by a record company or a manager who would make me famous and get my music out into the world…

I would focus on writing songs, performing and attracting really hot chicks.

The question this guy asked me the other day was this: What was your dream when you were 16? His point was that when we are teenagers we long for something that we want regardless of how practical or “realistic” it is to achieve it.

So the question is, “do you really still want THAT dream?”

Or, have you moved on to something bigger and better? Have you REFINED that dream and adapted it to your increasing level of sophistication as you’ve grown older and wiser?

Or have you slowly, steadily, sadly, given up little bits of it at a time until you are wondering why the hell you are even here?

Sometimes we don’t get something when we want it but that only makes it sweeter when we eventually do reach our goal.

Other times we get what we want only to discover that it’s no “big damn deal” or an outright disappointment.

When I was 16 I was ignoring the fact that in order to make a living performing at tiny coffeehouses, I had to travel all the time and basically live on the $100 bucks I would earn a night. And THAT was back in 1978! When $100 bucks could actually buy you a couple of things. Now it’s still a $100 buck gig. And it doesn’t take very long to do the arithmetic and realize that it would suck to HAVE to depend on that to pay your bills.

So what is a better idea?

For me when I scratch the surface of wanting to be a full time professional songwriter, I find something interesting… It is the process of learning and expanding my awareness that causes me to have material to write about… and processing that new knowledge and understanding through a song is incredibly pleasurable…

In other words, the stuff I have struggled with in my life, love, financial, health issues, have fed my songwriting, given me material to work with in songs that truly set them apart… These songs are not just entertainment, they are a integral part of how I do life…

AND it is the same exact process through which I generally learn and adapt and adjust and grow towards any goal… again, the particular way I live my life.

So the next question is: what if the songwriting was part of something bigger?

So for you, what if the thing you dreamed of when you were 16 literally was leading you to an even bigger, better dream that incorporates that 16 year old desire and ENHANCES it with some profoundly attractive ideas and experiences in ADDITION to that dream?

Here’s an example. I was coaching a 16 year old baseball player. His “problem” was that he was experiencing “Chuck Knoblock” syndrome. Essentially when he caught the ball at short stop or 2nd base he was increasingly throwing too high to the first baseman. He was experiencing “Performance Anxiety” on those particular throws. Of course he was fine in practice, this only happened in crucial spots in real games.

So I asked him, “What do you really want?” Do you want to be a top college or professional ball player? (I know his parents brought him to me because if he was able to get his head back in the game in those key moments, they would be looking at full scholarship money for his college tuition).

He shook his head. “What I really want,” he said, “is to travel the world having sex with the most beautiful women in every country.”

Now I did point out to him that if he “fixed the throwing to first base problem” and ended up a major league baseball player, he certainly would have his pick of women from all over the world if he still wanted that…

BUT if becoming a great lover of women is truly his deepest, most honest dream and he sets out to accomplish that,

Some people might judge it as shallow, BUT imagine all that he will have to learn in order to pull that off.

  1. He will have to learn how make money in order to fund his travels in a way that gives him time and cash to actually be able to buy his plane or boat ticket and keep himself in food and clothing while traveling.
  2. He will have to seriously learn how the female mind works. This alone could take a while… LOL
  3. He will have to understand human female AND male psychology as well as the dominant psychology of the cultures he is exploring.
  4. He may also have to discover that after having sex with a 100 or more women, that there might be more to life than that.
  5. He may have to work on himself to change his way of thinking and lift himself up to a higher level of status and awareness that women find attractive in a man.
  6. He may have to learn self defense skills to protect himself from all the jealous boyfriends and husbands he will encounter
  7. What else?

Ok. So not such a shallow goal after all. But at 16 he doesn’t see all the details or possibilities for general enhancement that his goal will provide.

Now Back to my example :o).

This dream of getting my music out into the world has driven me to do deep, deep work on myself. I was so full of fears and anxiety and self defeating mental and physical habits that it took me YEARS of concerted effort to transform and heal those things.

And now. Today. This week. I’m taking some time to truly evaluate. What is it I want to spend the rest of my life doing? I find this a helpful thing to do pretty much every 90 days or so. Check in. See if you are on track. Are there adjustments necessary? What’s working? What needs work? What needs to be let go?

I will ALWAYS write songs. When a song “comes in” I stop and focus on it. Or it happens while I’m doing other things. The songwriting part is easy. Does a labrador retriever wag it’s tail? It’s just what I do.

But these days in addition to writing songs, I also write blog posts and make videos.

16 year old dream2When I get an idea, MAN I LOVE THAT! I HAVE TO WRITE IT DOWN OR GET IT ON CAMERA! I keep a white board going at all times and take pictures on my phone before I erase and move on to the next idea…

Wow that feels good! I mean, really, really good.

But instead of traveling for hours to perform for $100 bucks. I simply upload the song or video or podcast or blog post to the appropriate blog or channel on youtube, key word it so that someone who is actually looking for what I have can find it and then I move on to the next thing.

So the dream I had at 16 is still alive. I want to share these songs with as many people as I can in my lifetime, but in an intelligent way. In a congruent ecological and sustainable way. In a way that delivers profound value to the exact people in the world who most desire and value what I have to offer. If I offer value then value will return to me perhaps from an entirely different source that I sent it out to… That’s part of the fun.

Where and when appropriate I am happy to perform my songs or give a talk, teach a seminar, coach a client, work on a self help course for a specific problem that I may have solved but that you might need help with.

My performing my songs happens in and around all that. It’s perfect. It might be in my living room for a few friends. It might be at some local coffeehouses that don’t require hours of travel.

I also have kid songs and stories that I enjoy performing for schools and family audiences. I charge more for those so that’s cool.

I also perform every week at my beloved Unity church. Where people truly “get” the content of my spiritual but not religious songs. That’s a steady gig so I charge a bit less.

I love reading and writing and thinking and understanding and working out new ways of percieving and communicating with other people. And that is the engine that fuels not just my songwriting but my storytelling and teaching, my coaching and self help programs, my writing. It all works together. I’m not JUST a songwriter. I’m a transformational communicator. I’m a healer with words and ideas. I’m a creative artist. I don’t have to make a million dollars at any one thing. As long as I can do the things I love doing I FEEL like a millionaire. Because isn’t that what people who want a million dollars REALLY want?

To be able to do what they want, when they want, how they want, with whom they want?

Isn’t THAT what the million dollars really represents?

Do you see? 40 years later, my dream is still alive but it is being refined and filtered and adjusted.

And when YOU get it right for yourself and all the areas of resistance and all the “yeah buts” have been ground down by real living, you just might wake up to find you are richer in fact than most millionaires or in theory.

And that stuff called money just might find you extremely attractive and start flowing towards you in ways that you might never have been able to imagine back at age 16.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

So your assignment today is to go back to your beloved dream as a 16 year old and remember it. Find the hidden kernel of TRUTH contained in your young dream. Honor the essence of what you wanted back then and begin to hold in your mind ways that you can still have the essence of what you wanted then, TODAY.

How was what you wanted good for you? How was want you wanted not so good for you? How is it possible to let go of the things that don’t benefit you and tune up and increase the things that ARE good for you?

Play with this and let me know what you think!

About that problem

May 19, 2015 by Mark Shepard

38817913_sKeys To Cowabungah: Problem Solving

Problems are a part of life.

Get good at solving them.

Get a life. Get the girl.

Ok. So you have a problem. Since this is a site all about personal mastery for men, and because one of our great “problems” as men is to be able to remove the obstacles (as well as clothing) that separates us from the women we desire,

Let’s explore a little bit about what a “problem” is and what to do about it.

Chances are there is some thing you do or don’t do that if you did or didn’t do it your life would be better.

Am I right?

Chances are there is some other person or people who seem to be the cause of problems too.

We will get to “dealing with difficult people” at some point, but today, let’s first talk about what this thing called a “problem” is. So we can make some progress with all levels of “problem” in your life.

So what’s a “problem”?

A “Problem” is:

The obstacle to your well being and happiness that you are currently concerned with or working on.

For you it could be “How to strike up a natural conversation with a group of bikini clad models so that one or more of them want to go home with you and have great sex…”

For mathmaticians, getting a nice big juicy “problem” is NOT a problem. It’s what they live for as math geeks.

For a gardener, keeping the deer and the rabbits and the woodchucks and the spider mites and aphids and cucumber beetles etc from eating YOUR plants before you get a chance to eat them is a problem…

Gardeners may gripe and moan about that but it is the nature of the activity to have challenges to your success. Your purpose is to solve them and then maximize your yield. If you don’t like doing that. Stop gardening. Gardening also involves something called “work”. Lifting bags of soil. Digging holes, building raised beds, weeding, watering, even HARVESTING can be a drag…. unless you realize that it is part of a process that is thoroughly enjoyable.

For many guys the obstacle to their happiness and well being is their inability to attract and land the kind of woman that they THINK they want to fuck… or live with… or whatever it is they think they want…

Notice I said “think they want”. You want a hot 10 babe-licious woman because you think having her will make you happy. You imagine fucking her and it being great…

But most of the time you just sit there frozen with fear and she goes home with some total asshole because he wasn’t intimidated by her hotness…. And you? You end up jerking off to porn. So you “solve the problem” of your sexual desire the easiest way. Without risking anything or learning anything. That’s a bit like the wannabe gardener buying some little cactus at walmart and thinking he’s a master gardener.

But ultimately EVERY problem carries with it the OPPORTUNITY for greatness…

But when we get upset at our challenges or when things don’t go the way we THINK they SHOULD go. We create suffering.

Suffering sucks. Stop it! Start asking yourself THIS question: “What if THIS “problem” is PERFECT?” “What if this is my “JEDI” warrior’s challenge?”

I have a couple of guy friends that are in relationships. They got in to those relationships to solve the problem of their loneliness and desire for physical intimacy. Most likely their women got in to those relationships to solve similar problems… or to find a good father for their children. Whatever. They may have solved one problem but they created the next level of opportunity for growth.

You see, whatever we do, we are attempting to remove obstacles to our well being and happiness… which often works for a little while until the “solution” becomes the “problem”. Then we have to solve the new problem and when we do, quite often the pattern repeats. That is life.

This is all supposed to happen! Because if it didn’t we would be bored as fuck. The next step is to find a way to resolve the obstacle to happiness in as elegant and congruent a way as possible. To solve the equation in as deep and wide and ecological way as humanly possible…

For example: In my garden. I moved to this new place last June. I had already started greens, cucumbers and tomatoes in pots at my previous apartment. So I moved them to my new location and BAM! The damn rabbits and wood chucks hit me HARD. So to solve that problem, I could have started killing them, OR I could simply put the damn pots up on tables. Which I did. problem solved.

UNTIL the deer came through one night and hit a bunch more of them… The tables saved them the hassle of bending down… Solution? First I tried some deer spray shit… which didn’t work that well. Then I built a corral of chairs and empty bins around my garden… worked pretty we’ll… But not perfectly… so after some deep thought and imagining, this year I have built a deer fence.

Is the problem solved? It might. But certainly something else will arise to keep me interested.

I would like to add, that since my solution to the rabbits and woodchucks was putting stuff up on tables, now I do not have to bend over to weed or harvest my veggies. The solution to one “problem” solved another one… That’s ELEGANCE in the solution business…

The problem with “Problems” is that we solve them and then idiotically think they will STAY SOLVED.

Perhaps THAT is the real “problem”?

Quite often the problem is us. Why am I even bothering to garden when I can just get food at the grocery store?

Because IT MAKES ME HAPPY AND FILLS ME WITH WELL BEING… to walk out and pick my own fresh food. I LIKE getting a good work out doing actual work that benefits me in ways other than just exercise. Again. An elegant solution.

Ultimately that is what we are doing ALL THE FUCKING TIME! Attempting to keep ourselves happy and in a state of feeling good.

So this is where innovation comes in. Last year I got hit by animals on the ground and deer at waist height… one solution is to grow stuff on top of my trailer or behind my new deer fence.

This is the story of EVERYTHING. Look around at all the cool shit we have. Cars. Cell phones. Computers. The invention of cars caused a lot of problems.

The shitty dirt roads that were fine for horses and walking suddenly were a problem for going fast. And going fast was a problem to the soft mushy bodies we live in so we had to have safer roads and safer cars…

Then the damn things burned up too much gasoline so we had to have cars that were fuel efficient… and driving was so boring and safe that we needed rumble strips on the sides and in the middle so if we fell asleep at the wheel, we would get woken up by the rumble noise…

Do you see how this works?

Now let’s talk about you. Let’s talk about your “problem”.

Let’s say it’s approach anxiety. You see a pretty girl and you want to fuck her. But you can’t just see a pretty girl and AUTOMATICALLY have her walk over to you lift up her skirt and climb on to your hard dick…

Wouldn’t THAT be cool?

Not going to fucking happen. right?

If it would make you happy to be able to fuck her whenever you want, you are going to have to solve some pretty cool problems. The cool thing is every one of these problems that you must solve will make you a way better man, a better lover and more likely to be able to attract better and better women.

“Problem”: Somehow you have to go from noticing her hotness, her attractiveness to getting up off your ass and walking over to her and letting her know you exist. Because guaranteed, if she is as hot as you say, plenty of other guys have noticed her and many of them don’t have your problem of being shy. So you could focus on “getting over your shyness”. You can practice thinking and acting like a guy who has actual balls and confidence. That’s pretty cool. Or, perhaps there is an even more elegant solution? Like beginning to think and act like the kind of guy who WOMEN CHECK OUT AND COME OVER AND INTRODUCE THEMSELVES TO…

For example, I went on a few dates with this woman who was really into dogs. She told me that at a dog show she actually tripped and fell right at actor Kevin Bacon’s feet. He was duly impressed. “I’ve had women do a lot of things to try to meet me,” he said with a sly smile, “But THAT was really putting your all into it!”

They had a nice laugh about that, what we call a “Moment” and because he is a married man, nothing else came of it…

BUT WHAT IF?!

What if YOU walked around with that same kind of “Kevin Bacon” attitude, using ANYTHING that happens with women, ANY interaction to make challenging comments with a sly wink?

And a little side comment here: Notice that Kevin Bacon was at a dog obedience event. Even though he’s a famous actor, he actually leaves his house to go out in public and do shit he is interested in. Get it? He leaves his house and goes out into the world to do shit that is INTERESTING TO HIM.

Hint: Women find men who are out in the world pursuing their “path” to be attractive. Guys who live in their parents basement and play video games all the time are not. If you have no interests. Fucking get some.

Now back to the main THRUST of our little talk…

What if in your own mind YOU were a star? What if in your own mind you were a catch? You were to women what that hot 20 something babe is to men?

What if you were the guy who walks into a room and all the women NOTICE… What if YOU are the guy they fantasize about being with?

What would life be like then?

Who would be happy and fulfilled then?

“But wait!” you protest. “I’m NOT a movie star!”

OK, so the real problem is that you don’t think you are good enough to fuck hot women. So you therefore give away all your power to the pussy…

Perhaps my friend THAT is your “real” “problem”. You put pretty women up on pedestals and therefore lower your own value in relationship to theirs. That’s just another opportunity isn’t it?

What if I could teach you how to powerfully install a new program in your mind. Let’s call it the “Kevin Bacon” or “the [cool actor of your choice] program”.

I mean Kevin Bacon is a decent actor. But he’s not exactly considered the greatest actor of all time. Yet women throw themselves at him…

He is famous. But so what? There are a lot of guys who are not famous but who THINK like the kind of guy who is. Who walk like they are hot shit. Who challenge and tease women. Who put themselves higher on a pedestal than she is.

What if you installed deep in your unconscious mind this little notion: “Any woman would be fortunate to have the opportunity to be with me.” and all the variations of that. “Any woman would be fortunate to have the opportunity to talk to me…”

What if you walked around broadcasting that idea with your body language, your voice tonality, your attitude? What if you actually and totally BELIEVED it yourself? Really believe it. Deep in your Unconscious Mind. You are that guy. What would that be like?

The bottom line my friend is that when you solve this little “problem” you will have ample opportunity to solve many other delicious challenges like, “now that I’ve fucked her and she’s addicted to my cock, how do I get rid of her so I can continue to fuck other women too?” or even better: “Now that she’s addicted to my cock, how can I frame our relating so that I can ethically and honestly continue to fuck other women too?”

All of that to bring you to the point of the day which is:

What if solving this “problem” (and any other “problem” that may arise) is actually the reason you are here in this little space ship called a “body” in the first place?

What if the thrill of solving this problem was more interesting and fulfilling than any TV show, movie or video game? What if YOU ARE THE STAR of this movie called your life?

Personal mastery is about rising to the challenges and joyfully solving the “problems” that are the keys to you developing new and better levels of mastery.

Innovation

April 2, 2015 by Mark Shepard

Today’s Cowabungah musing is about innovation inspired by Ricardo Semler’s book, “Maverick: the Success Story Behind The World’s Most Unusual Workplace”.

I explore how thinking outside of the box, or cubicle can lead you to massive throbbing breakthroughs in your life, your work, your relating, your health… Give it a shot.

The challenge at the end of the video is this:

Imagine you have only 1 year left to live. How will you live it?
Imagine you have only 90 days. How will you live it?
Imagine you have only 1 month. How will you live it?
Imagine you have only 1 week. How will you live it?
Imagine you have only 1 day. How will you live it?

Write these answer down. And start today to live in that way.

Do this exercise every 90 days or so and it will keep you spot on track to living an incredible life.

I would record all my songs, (doing it).
I would record my thoughts in videos (doing it)
I would help guys like you take back their power to create their best lives in all areas: health, wealth and relating.(doing it)
This is the process I use continually to pursue my own Massive Throbbing Vision for my life.

Cowabungah!
